3rd Annual Journalism Summer Camp
At the Museum July 14th-18th
Daily 10am-4pm
We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Journalism Summer Camp will take place from July 14-18, 2025. This is an incredible opportunity for your young aspiring journalists to dive into the world of storytelling, reporting, and media creation.
What to Expect:
- Hands-On Workshops: Participants will engage in interactive sessions led by experienced journalists and educators, providing valuable insights and practical skills.
- Creative Projects: Campers will work on their own stories, conduct interviews, and create multimedia presentations. We will explore cartooning, illustrating, photography, and all aspects of newspaper production, fostering creativity and enhancing communication skills.
- Fun Activities: Besides journalism, we’ll incorporate games and team-building exercises, allowing campers to make new friends and create lasting memories!
Special Guest:
We are thrilled to announce that Kathy Kiely, a professor from the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism, will be joining us again this year! Her expertise and passion for journalism will inspire and guide our campers as they explore their interests in the field.

This camp is not just about learning; it’s about igniting a passion for storytelling and empowering your child to express their thoughts and ideas confidently.
