Occupy Bloomfield July 24-27, 2025, is YOUR chance to take a step back in time. Come enjoy the up-close learning experience, as the Civil War moves into an 1860s Bloomfield Missouri, and the Stars and Stripes newspaper is born. Beginning on the grounds at the Stars and Stripes Museum and Library, you will see history come alive, as you learn what it would be like to live, fight, and survive, during the Civil War, and have the opportunity to participate in the variety of activities they will have available. As you finish exploring the grounds, take a break to enjoy the AC of the Stars and Stripes Museum and Library, and learn about the birth of the Stars and Stripes newspaper, started here in Bloomfield during the Civil War, and continuing even today.
Kids Day!
Saturday, July 26th will be our Museum Kids Day, an awesome opportunity to bring the whole family! We will have kid-friendly activities, designed to give your kids an experience so awesome they can’t stop talking about it, along with food trucks on site all day, and endless opportunities to learn!
Calling all Reenactors!
Are you an 1861-1865 reenactor? Come join us at the Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library for a fun Civil War Weekend! FREE to participate!
- Artillery, Engineers, Infantry, Cavalry, and Civilians are all encouraged to come!
- The museum will supply rations for those camping on site, as well as food vendors available Saturday for lunch.
- You can set up camp as early as the evening of the 24th, or just come for Kids Day on the 26th!
