Reading of the Thibodaux, Louisiana Paper, Published During the Civil War

While on a brief trip, Laura Dumey, our Executive Director at the Stars and Stripes Museum and Library, met with the Stars and Stripes European team in K-Town, Germany. While there, she met Al Green, who took an interest in the story “How a Man Feels in Battle” found in the Thibodaux, Louisiana Stars and Stripes paper, printed during the Civil War, on March 11th, 1863. He recorded this reading, and sent it to us, to be shared here. We want to give him a huge THANK YOU! for recording and sharing this with us.

Al Green serves as the Community Relations Coordinator for the Stars and Stripes Europe facility in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
