Bloomfield, Missouri — The National Stars and Stripes Museum and Library will be celebrating our 10th Annual Liberty Days: A Living History Timeline Adventure on Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on the museum grounds. This event is open to the public and admission is free.
Visitors can walk from camp to camp at this family-friendly, living history festival. You will experience life during the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and up to the modern era. The Poplar Bluff Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Crowley’s Ridge Blackpowder Club, the Turner Brigade, and the 10th Armored Division are setting up encampments with reenactors and giving demonstrations.
Some of the 20 plus demonstrations will include quill writing, soap making, candle making, flamethrowers, atlatl throwing, tomahawk throwing, and a candy cannon. There will also be food trucks, a dessert silent auction, a kids photo contest, a pet photo contest, mock battles, and more.
Come on out and eat some great food, enjoy live music, and absorb history in a new and exciting way!
