Welcome to the Liberty Days 2026 schedule of events! This highly anticipated event offers a unique, immersive experience where the past truly comes to life. Whether you are a history enthusiast, a student, or simply looking for a memorable family outing, Liberty Days provides an engaging look at our region’s significant military heritage.
Friday, October 2nd: Educational Outreach The festivities begin on Friday with a dedicated focus on local schools. Students will arrive at 9 AM to participate in a living history timeline, where they can interact with reenactors and gain firsthand knowledge of historical events. At 11 AM, we invite the public to witness a solemn Flag Retirement Ceremony hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA). It is a poignant reminder of the respect we owe those who have served. Following a lunch break, the educational activities conclude at 3 PM, with all activities wrapping up by 4 PM.
Saturday, October 3rd: Community Celebration Saturday’s schedule is packed with excitement for the whole family. We kick off the morning with opening ceremonies at 9 AM. Throughout the day, visitors can witness thrilling WWII skirmish reenactments at 11 AM and 2 PM, providing a vivid demonstration of historical tactics. A major highlight of the afternoon is our beloved Dessert Auction at 1 PM, where community members can bid on delicious treats while supporting the museum’s ongoing preservation efforts.
