We are thrilled to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for the new 3,300 square foot addition to the Stars and Stripes National Museum and Library on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at noon. This new space will house our four WWII vehicles and other exhibits, providing a dedicated area to showcase these important artifacts. The expansion will also ensure ADA compliance, offering improved accessibility for all visitors. By enhancing our exhibit space, we will be able to offer more educational programs, better preserve our collections, and improve the overall visitor experience.
The new addition represents a significant commitment to honoring the legacy of military service members and journalists. It will allow the museum to expand its educational offerings, engage the community through events and partnerships, and provide a more welcoming environment for all. We warmly invite visitors to join us in celebrating this exciting milestone with a ceremonial groundbreaking, featuring remarks from distinguished guests, including local officials and military personnel. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony.
