Jim Martin presented the Stars and Stripes City Proclamation on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 to Salt Lake City, Utah. The Proclamation was accepted by the mayor’s staff. Jim also spoke with staff at the Utah Veterans Affairs Bureau about the potential of adopting a Veterans Hall of Fame concept such as the one in Missouri. After that, he visited Grand Junction, Colorado where he presented a Proclamation designating Grand Junction as a Stars and Stripes City. While there, Jim spoke with a city council member, the city attorney, and a city staff member (who happens to be a recent arrival from Kansas City) about providing feedback on how to work together in the future to encourage, embrace, and celebrate the importance of informed citizenship, commitment, and service to our communities and our nation.
