On Monday, August 29, 2022, Jim Martin was up early and traveled through the Cascade Mountains in Washington and Oregon to Western Idaho. Once there, he presented the Stars and Stripes City Proclamation to Boise, Idaho which was accepted by the mayor’s office. He also spoke with the state’s Veterans Affairs staff about the potential for Idaho to adopt a Veterans Hall of Fame similar to the one in Missouri. Then he was back on the official Vietnam Veterans Highway (I-84) to Ogden, Utah where he also presented the Stars and Stripes City Proclamation to the mayor’s office.
